Getafe’s prospects of reaching the Copa del Rey quarter-finals are not overly bright according to the stats, but we think they can gain a suitable result in Valladolid.

The only goal in the opening leg of this tie was scored by Getafe striker Angel, who was rested on the bench until his 74th-minute introduction and found the net with a close-range header two minutes into stoppage time.

The problem now for the team based just outside Madrid is that, as the stats above outline, in the last 13 matches between these clubs only three away goals have been scored.

History suggests this game will finish either 1-0 to Valladolid or 0-0, but at least neither of those scorelines would mean Getafe being eliminated within 90 minutes.
