Real Sociedad vs Real Madrid Match Preview
Real Madrid have seen a thriller 3-2 win over Villarreal as they sent the rivals in the immediate danger zone once again despite conceding twice, ending a two-match winless streak and now hoping to build on such a high-scoring performance as they take on a trip to Donostia-San Sebastian.
Los Blancos failed to find the net on trips to Getafe (0-0) and Rayo Vallecano (1-0) beforehand and this will be more worrying for Zinedine Zidane, especially without Karim Benzema leading the line. They’ve thus seen a four-match winless streak on the road extended and will be desperate to finally put an end to it.
Real Sociedad have, on the other hand, ended a four-match winless streak as they beat Getafe (2-1) and Deportivo Alaves (0-1) in their last two outings. They’ve been scoring goals at Anoeta on the regular and building on such records will be important for them,
Txuri-urdinak have been unpredictable in front of the home fans and bagged just two wins in the sides’ last six head-to-head clashes, with two draws and two losses along the way. The visitors will now hope to capitalize on such a streak and bag all three points.
We do feel they have what it takes and we’ll thus back Real Madrid to win, which comes at 13/10 with bet365 and looks great value despite their struggles to impress on the road. They’ve turned a thriller against Villarreal their way and will now want to build on such a performance.
However, we haven’t really seen the visitors impress in the final third when playing away from home and with that in mind, we’re now also backing Under 3.5 Goals FT at 4/7 with William Hill – which looks like buying money for old rope at this point.
