Real Sociedad have beaten Real Madrid (0-2) and held on to a goalless draw at Real Betis in Copa del Rey, hosting Espanyol on Monday in hope they can build on such performances and jump the rivals on La Liga table in an attempt to catch up with the top 6.

Txuri-urdinak have struggled in front of the home crowd through December and suffered losses to both Real Valladolid (1-2) and Deportivo Alaves (0-1) in their last two outings here, which should have them just as motivated to end the unwanted streak on the day.
