Real Madrid have seen a disappointing trip to Rayo Vallecano end in a 1-0 loss after an early penalty-kick changed the course and Zidane’s men struggled to bounce back, now hosting Villarreal looking to do so in front of the home fans once again.

Indeed, Los Blancos have performed at Santiago Bernabeu more recently, beating Celta (2-0), Huesca (3-2), Eibar (2-1), and Athletic Bilbao (3-0). They’ve kept conceding goals and this could be worrying but the attacking line led by Karim Benzema just seems to work in Madrid.

Villarreal have picked it up and six five points clear of the relegation zone with seven points earned in the last three outings, where they beat Leganes (2-1), Sociedad (0-1), and held Huesca to a more disappointing 1-1 draw at Estadio de la Ceramica as the visitors bagged a late equalizer.

Yellow Submarine have been scoring goals on the road but still struggled for consistency, with an important Europa League loss at Valencia (2-0) seen ahead of the trip to Donostia-San Sebastian. They will now want to capitalize on Real’s woes but we don’t see them making it happen.
