Real Madrid vs Villarreal Match Preview
Real Madrid have seen a disappointing trip to Rayo Vallecano end in a 1-0 loss after an early penalty-kick changed the course and Zidane’s men struggled to bounce back, now hosting Villarreal looking to do so in front of the home fans once again.
Indeed, Los Blancos have performed at Santiago Bernabeu more recently, beating Celta (2-0), Huesca (3-2), Eibar (2-1), and Athletic Bilbao (3-0). They’ve kept conceding goals and this could be worrying but the attacking line led by Karim Benzema just seems to work in Madrid.
Villarreal have picked it up and six five points clear of the relegation zone with seven points earned in the last three outings, where they beat Leganes (2-1), Sociedad (0-1), and held Huesca to a more disappointing 1-1 draw at Estadio de la Ceramica as the visitors bagged a late equalizer.
Yellow Submarine have been scoring goals on the road but still struggled for consistency, with an important Europa League loss at Valencia (2-0) seen ahead of the trip to Donostia-San Sebastian. They will now want to capitalize on Real’s woes but we don’t see them making it happen.
We will thus stick with Real Madrid to secure the points but not without conceding, as we go for a Home win and a Yes on Both teams to score at 15/8 with bet365. We have seen them struggling to keep clean sheets and hardly felt like the most confident back line.
With that in mind, we now hope for another high-scoring head-to-head clash after seeing eight goals in the last two, as we back Over 2.5 Goals FT as more of a banker bet at 1/2 with bet365.
