Real Madrid vs Sevilla Match Preview
Real Madrid have seen their two-match winning streak ended by Leganes (1-0) and although they’ve made it through to the Quarter-finals on the back of a 3-0 home win seen beforehand, Santiago Solari’s men now host Sevilla looking for a way back to the winning ways once again.
Los Blancos have beaten Real Betis (1-2) in a thrilling contest beforehand with a late winner from Dani Ceballos, showing their inconsistencies at the back but still turned it their way – despite many worrying about their efficiency in the final third with injury woes.
Sevilla have seen a similarly unpredictable spell of form as they made it past Athletic Bilbao in Copa del Rey with a 1-3 win at San Mames Barria, suffering two losses to Los Leones (2-0 in La Liga and 0-1 in Copa del Rey) since then.
Sevillistas will now want more and getting it at Santiago Bernabeu could prove a crucial task for their top 4 ambitions, as they regularly score goals on the road and hope to do same in Madrid. They don’t have a long history of success here, though, and last snatched any points back in 2008 (3-4 La Liga win) – with 13 consecutive losses since then.
We will now back Real to build on such records and bag all three points once again, where a Home win comes at 8/11 with Betfair and looks great value despite a strong challenge Sevilla are bound to be.
Indeed, we’ve been used to exciting clashes between the sides and we should be in for more of the same now too. We’ll thus also back Over 2.5 Goals FT at 4/7 with FansBet, which has seen many big hitters lumping already.
