Real Madrid vs Sevilla Match Preview
Real Madrid host Sevilla for their Matchday 20 clash on Saturday afternoon, returning to La Liga after bagging the Super Cup trophy in Jeddah – where they beat Valencia (1-3) in semi-finals and turned the Final against Atletico Madrid their way on penalties after a goalless draw.
Los Blancos thus extended a three-match winning streak early in 2020 and they’ll surely be very motivated to build on it, sitting top of the table and behind Barcelona only for their goal difference. They’re yet to see a home loss this term and while this could be the toughest league challenge so far, Zinedine Zidane’s men are heavy betting favourites for a reason.
Sevilla have regained consistency since mid-December themselves and come into the match on the back of a four-match unbeaten streak, where they beat Bergantinos (0-1) and Escobedo (0-5) in Copa del Rey as well as Mallorca (0-2) in La Liga while seeing Athletic Bilbao (1-1) interrupt the streak by snatching a point at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.
Sevillistas have been scoring away goals on the regular and kept clean sheets on all of their last three trips, which will be a boost to their confidence. However, they should now be in for much more of a challenge and we feel Julen Lopetegui will have more of a task on his hands as he looks to break down the rivals’ defensive lines.
We do expect a narrow occasion but we do feel Real Madrid have what it takes to turn it their way once again, where going for a Home win at 4/7 with William Hill looks like a generous banker bet at this point.
We hope to see a tough defensive setup from Sevilla, though, and with that in mind – we don’t feel we’re in for many goals now either. We’ve seen two or fewer goals in both of the sides’ two head-to-head clashes in 2019 and we’re now going for Under 2.5 Goals FT at 13/10 with BetVictor as well.
