Reading vs Brentford Match Preview

Reading were involved in a remarkable game against Norwich in midweek at Carrow Road that ended in a 2-2 draw. They were one up until the 86th minute when they conceded and then again in the 88th minute they battled until the end and in the seventh minute of injury-time rescued a point. The result leaves them 20th and still just two points above Rotherham in 22nd.

At the Madejski, the Royals have won four, drawn two and lost just one of their last seven league fixtures. Four of the last five at this ground have seen both teams score and the same number of matches going under 2.5 goals. Yakou Meite and Mo Barrow have netted in two of their last three appearances at this ground.

Brentford ended a five-game winless run on Wednesday evening as they registered a 2-0 home success over Ipswich. They are slotted into 14th and a top-half finish is likely to be the target for Thomas Frank and his side. The London outfit now face three of the next four games against teams in the bottom six.

Away from Griffin Park, the Bees are without a win in three and have managed to win on just two occasions this season. They are struggling for goals on the road failing to net in any of their last three on their travels. Five of the last six Brentford have played away from their own place have seen a total of exactly two or three goals.
