RB Leipzig vs Bayern Munich Fansbet Preview

Having emphatically secured their seventh consecutive title with four goals in the second half against Frankfurt last weekend, Bayern will be looking to give departing duo Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery a perfect send off.

Meanwhile, Leipzig have had a fairly poor finish to their season with two draws from their final three winless outings, though one of those stalemates was against Bayern themselves, while they’d already secured third spot anyway, so it isn’t surprising that their results tailed off.

RB Leipzig vs Bayern Munich Match Preview

Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben enjoyed the perfect Bundesliga swansong last weekend – and now they can bow out of Bayern Munich altogether with a cup triumph as well.

The veteran wingers are both moving on after this DFB-Pokal Final and having entered the fray as substitutes at home to Eintracht Frankfurt last Saturday, they each scored to wrap up a 5-1 success that extended Bayern’s sequence of consecutive German league titles to seven.

Ribery is now targeting a sixth cup success and Robben a fifth, which would also represent a fourth double for FC Hollywood within the last seven years.

Bayern coach Niko Kovac, meanwhile, is contesting his third successive DFB-Pokal Final having lost with Eintracht Frankfurt against Borussia Dortmund in 2017 but lifted the trophy 12 months ago against his current employers, whom he knew at the time he would be joining!

Leipzig are through to their first final and they have enjoyed another strong season, finishing third in the Bundesliga, well clear of the remainder, to book a return to the Champions League next term when Hoffenheim’s Julian Nagelsmann will take over as their coach.

Ralf Rangnick will therefore return to his sporting director role at Leipzig but on a day that heralds the end of an era with both finalists, it is Ribery and Robben who are backed to savour another perfect occasion that caps off their glittering careers in Germany.
