RB Leipzig vs Bayern Munich Match Preview
Bayern Munich travel to Leipzig for their Matchday 33 clash on Saturday afternoon looking to build on the fine display against rock-bottomed Hannover and bag the title with a win at Red Bull Arena, as they sit four points clear of 2nd placed Borussia Dortmund.
Bavarians have thus impressed in the final third and returned to the winning ways once again but we’ve seen more struggles for consistency on the road, where Nurnberg (1-1) last held them to a draw and proved to the point once again – which was also their third draw in six trips across competitions.
RB Leipzig have been in great shape and secured a top-four spot as well as a ticket to the DFB Pokal Final, connecting a seven-match winning streak from late March to late April. They’ve only seen it ended in a thriller 3-3 draw at Mainz last week and this could be more worrying for Ralf Rangnick.
Die Bullen have thus seen inconsistency at the back and dropped points despite a two-goal lead. Still, they’ve been very convincing up front – led by an in-form Timo Werner – and the home side will now be very motivated to cause an upset if one can call it that in front of the home fans.
We will back them to do just that and going for a Double Chance – Home win or Draw feels like great value at 13/10 with William Hill, especially seeing Bayern’s troubles away from home lately.
Still, we feel we’re in for goals and with that in mind, we’ll also go for a Yes on Both teams to score at 1/2 with bet365 – which looks more like buying money for old rope as many in the know have already suggested.
