Rayo Vallecano vs Valencia Match Preview
Valencia travel to Madrid for their Matchday 31 clash at Rayo Vallecano on the back of a great 2-1 home win over Real Madrid, where goals from Goncalo Guedes and Ezequiel Garay proved enough for all three points despite Karim Benzema pulling one back in the injury time.
Los Che have thus extended an 18-match unbeaten streak across competitions and hope to build on it in a thriller chase for the 4th spot leading to Champions League next term, sitting just a point behind Getafe. They will want to keep up their team spirits ahead of the Europa League clash at Villarreal too, which promises Marcelino’s men in a great mood.
Rayo Vallecano have a tough fight of their own on their hands as they struggle to escape the relegation zone towards late in the campaign, sitting six points behind Villarreal who escaped the red. They’ve struggled for pick-me-ups, though, and getting one against in-form visitors should prove a very tough task.
Los Vallecanos have seen a narrow 2-1 loss at Eibar despite taking the lead and this was their eighth loss in nine outings since early February, with just a 1-1 draw against Betis also on the records. Indeed, they’ve been scoring goals but coping with Valencia feels like out of their reach at this point.
We will thus stick with Valencia to snatch all three points on Saturday and go for an Away win at 21/20 with bet365, which seems like a great value seeing the sides on opposite ends of the table and enjoying very different spells of form as well.
Rayo have been scoring goals, though, and we do see them finding the net in an exciting contest on the day as well. We’ll thus also go for a Yes on Both teams to score, which comes at 4/7 with bet365 and looks like more of a banker bet as Los Che struggle for clean sheets on the road just as much.
