QPR vs Charlton Match Preview
QPR were involved in an eight-goal thriller at the weekend but came out on the wrong end of a 5-3 loss at Oakwell to Barnsley. It is just one defeat in the last four for the London outfit who have two wins a draw in this sequence.
At Loftus Road, the Rs last were in action on December 7th and on that occasion they were comfortable 2-0 victors over Preston. Mark Warburton will hope his side can improve on their home form with just one victory in their last five in front of their own fans.
Charlton looked on course for a needed three points but were twice pegged back by Hull and had to settle for a 2-2 draw last time out. It did end a four-game losing run for Athletic but it means that they are now ten without a victory.
Away from the Valley, the Addicks last played on December 7th and went down 1-0 to Middlesbrough in a game the Teesiders dominated. It is seven without a road win for the London team with five of these ending in defeat.
It is hard to argue with the odds on offer here but QPR do not look backable here given they have won just one of their last five at their own place. The visitors are struggling with no win in ten but almost beat Hull last time out and with the injury room empyting they could be tougher than the odds suggest in this London derby.
The best angle of attack is to have a couple of plays on the goalscorer markets and for the hosts we like the look of Luke Amos who got a brace in the last game yet still goes off at double-figures to net here. For the visitors, Lyle Taylor is the obvious dangerman but Darren Pratley scored last time and goes off too big to repeat that trick here.
