QPR vs Bristol City Match Preview
QPR kicked off the new Championship campaign with four points in two outings and now take on Bristol City in League Cup, hoping to build on such performances and make their way to the 2nd Round with success in front of the home fans at Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.
Hoops have beaten Stoke (1-2) on the opening day of the campaign and built on it with a 1-1 draw against Huddersfield Town, where they conceded from the spot but a late equalizer from Grant Hall saved an important point. They will now want more but hardly have head-to-head records against Robins to boast.
Bristol City have bagged four wins in last five encounters and although they’ve struggled to get the new campaign underway, it feels they have ground to build on. They’ve earned one point in two outings since early August and Lee Johnson surely has a lot on his mind ahead of the trip to London.
Robins have seen a 1-3 loss to Leeds on the opening day of the campaign and only bounced with a 1-1 draw earned at Birmingham, where they scored with minutes left on the clock. They have been scoring more goals through the pre-season but feels they’ve lacked in the final third early on, which has them searching for a cure.
We don’t see them finding it on Tuesday, though, and we’ll now rather stick with QPR to outgun the visitors. We’ll thus go for a Home win here at 10/11 with bet365, which feels like great value despite their struggles against Bristol lately.
We do expect goals and QPR should be forced into another exciting game here, as we now also back a Yes on Both teams to score at 3/4 with Novibet. We’ve seen both scoring and conceding on the regular early on, which does add to such a belief as well.
