PSV Eindhoven vs Heracles Almelo Match Preview
PSV have seen their struggles for consistency on the road prove costly yet again as they suffered a narrow 1-0 loss at AZ over the weekend and lost their chances at a league title late in the campaign, as they now sit three points behind Ajax and have a 14-goal difference to make up.
Boeren have been more confident at Philips Stadion but hopes are too slim to mention as they host Heracles on the final day of the campaign, looking to bounce back to their winning streak and at least end the campaign in a positive light.
Heracles seemingly have more to play for as they sit 7th and have Groningen breathing down their necks, with thriller losses to AZ (2-1) and Excelsior (4-5) now behind them. They’ve dropped a 4-2 lead over the weekend as they conceded two goals in the final minutes at Polman Stadion and recuperating now will be a very tough task.
Heraclieden have been scoring goals on the regular but their struggles to keep it together at the back have been just as obvious on the road, which will feel even more worrying for Frank Wormuth and his men. They will be very motivated to snatch anything from the fixture but we don’t see them making it happen.
We will thus stick with PSV to secure the points in another exciting contest, as we now back a Home win and a Yes on Both teams to score at 10/11 with Paddy Power – hoping to see both sides going all out for the points.
With that in mind, it’s rather easy to make a case for another high-scoring contest here. Luuk de Jong will be leading the line and we feel backing him to score first at 11/4 with bet365 comes as a great value with Hirving Lozano sidelined with an injury and the 28-year-old striker stepping up with seven goals in his last seven appearances.
