PSG vs Strasbourg Match Preview
PSG host Strasbourg returning to Ligue 1 on Saturday and hoping to build on a two-match winning streak, where we saw them beat Toulouse (4-0) and Metz (0-2) with six goals scored and none conceded. Thomas Tuchel will now want more of the same and we expect his men very motivated to keep hold of the top spot early on.
Parisians have been led by Angel Di Maria, Choupo-Moting, and Pablo Sarabia in the final third as their attacking trident Neymar – Cavani – Mbappe were all sidelined. They’ve still been very tough to cope with at this ground and we hope to see just that on the day as well.
Strasbourg have struggled for great pick-me-ups lately and they’ve seen a Europa League exit in the Play-offs, as Eintracht Frankfurt outclassed them on the road (3-0). They’ve struggled for consistency and earned just one win in five outings across competitions, which puts a great task ahead of Thierry Laurey and his men.
Le Racing have held Monaco to a 2-2 draw ahead of the break and only ended a two-match losing streak, where Rennes snatched all three points at Stade de la Meinau. They will hope to use the International break to a good cause but it’s fair to say PSG will be quite possibly the toughest challenge yet.
We will back PSG to secure the points with confidence in front of the home fans and we’ll go for a Home win to Nil at 10/11 with bet365. They’ve been rock-solid at the back lately and we feel Strasbourg will have a hard time breaking the deadlock here.
We thus hope not to see all too many goals and we’re also going for Under 3.5 Goals FT at 8/11 with MansionBet, which has caught the eye of many in the know who keep the faith the visitors will not make their way on the scoresheet on the day.
