PSG vs Nimes Match Preview
Paris Saint-Germain have seen some very narrow clashes lately but still boast a great streak now behind them, where they come into the week on the back of wins over Villefranche (0-3), Bordeaux (1-0), Man United (0-2), and Saint-Etienne (0-1).
Parisians have been rock-solid at the back and base their success across competitions on such displays, which promises them in a great mood once again here. Thomas Tuchel will now want more of the same as his men build on consistency and the mid-table visitors will have a hard time closing the gap to top 4 with points here.
Nimes travel to Parc des Princes on the back of a winning streak of their own, where they beat Nantes (2-4) and Dijon (2-0) and built on a solid goalscoring streak. They will be desperate to build towards the spots leading to Europa League Qualifiers and sit just four points behind 4th placed Marseille, which does promise a motivated outfit as well.
However, Bernard Blaquart’s men have struggled for such consistency on the road and the thriller win at Nantes only ended a streak of four away losses in a row, failing to find the net at all on three of those occasions. This will be more worrying for the travelling fans ahead of a tough trip and we do feel they could struggle to make an impact.
We’ll thus back PSG to secure the points with confidence at the back and go for a Home win to Nil at 21/20 with William Hill, which feels like great value seeing their performances of recent.
Kylian Mbappe has been instrumental in turning clashes their way lately and we now expect more of the same from the young superstar, as we go for the young superstar to open the scoresheet and score first at 6/4 with Paddy Power.
