PSG host Montpellier for their Matchday 17 Ligue 1 clash looking to build on the gap at the top of the table and hoping to retain consistency just days after their weekend trip to Saint-Etienne – now sitting ten in the clear in a march for another title.

Parisians have beaten Villefranche (0-3), Bordeaux (1-0), and Manchester United (0-2) in their last three outings and we’ve seen them rock-solid at the back, which promises Thomas Tuchel in a good mood defensively in an attempt to capitalize on the rivals’ goalscoring woes on the road.

Montpellier have now connected a five-match unbeaten streak but have a very tough schedule looking to build on it, as they travel to Lille just days ahead of this contest. They have a lot to prove hoping to use the game in hand to catch up with Saint-Etienne, wanting a revenge for a 4-0 loss suffered here in January 2018.

More worryingly, La Paillade have failed to find the net in three of their last five trips and Michel Der Zakarian now has to find a cure for troubles if they’re to cause an upset in Paris or keep up with the top 4 in a thriller chase joined by seven other sides.

We don’t feel they have what it takes to snatch the points in Paris, though, and with that in mind – we’re now sticking with PSG to put on another confident display and bag the points with a Home win to Nil at 21/20 with BetVictor.
