PSG vs Monaco Match Preview
PSG host Monaco for their Matchday 33 clash on Sunday evening looking to put an end to a troubled streak and finally claim the Ligue 1 title, after failing to do so in a 2-2 draw against Strasbourg, a 5-1 loss at Lille, and a 3-2 loss at Nantes in their last three outings.
Parisians have been scoring numbers of goals in front of the home fans but now have a lot on their mind without most of their biggest stars, as Thomas Tuchel looks for a way to recuperate. They’ve been very convincing against Monaco lately but now have a lot to prove as well.
Monaco have struggled to make an impact this term and sit just eight points clear of the relegation zone, where they saw a 0-1 loss to Caen late in March and failed to really bounce back – with just draws seen at Guingamp (1-1) and against Reims (0-0) at Stade Louis II.
Les Monegasques have been scoring goals on the road more regularly and will have high hopes they can shock PSG as well, despite seeing thrashing 4-0 losses both in Super Cup and Ligue 1 earlier in the campaign. This should prove a tough task, though, and we don’t see them causing an upset.
We’ll thus back Parisians to secure all three points and make their way to celebrations in front of the home fans in an exciting clash, where a Home win and a Yes on Both teams to score combines to an enticing 8/5 with bet365.
We expect goals and hope for another high-scoring contest between the sides, which also has us going for Over 2.5 Goals FT at 4/9 with William Hill – which feels like buying money for old rope at this point.
