PSG vs Club Brugge Match Preview
PSG host Club Brugge for their Champions League clash on Wednesday evening, just days after seeing their six-match winning streak across competitions ended by Dijon (2-1), and they need a quick fix after seeing the rock-bottomed rivals complete a second-half comeback in Ligue 1.
Parisians have been rather convincing in the final third even without Neymar in the ranks and we now hope they have what it takes to keep up their perfect run in Group A, despite Thomas Tuchel’s outfit obviously missing some important names including Ander Herrera and Marco Verratti.
Club Brugge have proven themselves a tough side to outclass early in their Champions League campaign and they shared the spoils with both Galatasaray (0-0) and Real Madrid (2-2) before seeing a thrashing 0-5 loss to PSG in front of the home fans just two weeks ago. They will now be desperate to show more but doing so at Parc des Princes will be no easy task.
Blue and Blacks have beaten Zulte-Waregem (0-2) and Kortrijk (3-0) in their last two outings, though, and they hardly have anything to lose on their trip to Paris. We thus hope to see them going for the points and this serves as another piece of evidence we should be in for a thriller on the day.
We don’t feel they’ll be able to make it on the scoresheet now either, though, and PSG should prove themselves a very tough side to break down in front of the home fans once again. We’ll thus go for a Home win to Nil, which comes at 10/11 with bet365.
We still hope to see goals and this should mean another one-sided contest. PSG have been scoring early goals on the regular and we hope to see them go all-out early on again, backing the Time of First Goal within the first 15 minutes at 8/5 with Paddy Power – which would be the third such occasion in four home outings for them.
