Preston vs Leeds Match Preview
Preston saw their eight-game unbeaten streak come to an end as they suffered a 1-0 loss against a Reading side under new management. It was also a rare blank for a North-End side who are the high-scorers in the division with 23 goals.
At Deepdale, the Lilywhites have been excellent in the Championship this season with 16 points taken from a possible 18. They have netted 18 league goals here this campaign which is an average of three per fixture.
Leeds made it two victories in their last three with a narrow home success over Birmingham at the weekend thanks to a Kalvin Phillips goal. It moved them back into second (Nottingham Forest result pending) and kept the pressure on leaders West Brom.
Away from Elland Road, United won their opening four league games but have since suffered back-to-back defeats going down at Charlton and Millwall. Only Bristol City (12) have managed more goals on the road than Leeds (11) in the second-tier.
It is not often wise to take on Leeds but defeats at Charlton and Millwall suggests they are not firing on the road yet while Preston have won five and drawn one at their own place. The draw is a real risk but taking North-End in the draw no bet market looks the bet. Daniel Johnson has six goals in six home appearances this season and he looks value to continue that form with a goal here.
