Portugal vs Switzerland Fansbet Preview
Like Portugal, Switzerland are a hard-working team that are hard to get the better of, relying on a strong spine of Premier League trio Fabian Schar, Granit Xhaka and Xherdan Shaqiri, as well as Atalanta’s Remo Freuler.
They managed to qualify for these finals with a greater number of points than any other League A winners, even if they were drawn in the easiest group on paper, though 6-0 and 5-2 home victories over Iceland and Belgium respectively will have left Portugal in no doubt that this is a team that needs to be taken seriously.

Portugal vs Switzerland Match Preview
Portugal are favourites to lift the UEFA Nations League trophy on home soil and Jose Mourinho has stated they will do it – but we think Switzerland should not be underestimated in this first semi-final.
European football’s governing body selected Portugal as hosts for the deciding stages of this inaugural competition and perhaps it was the semi-final draw that prompted Mourinho, who also talked up his chances of managing the national team a few years from now, to confidently tip his countrymen for glory.
It looks very much as though the Portuguese have got the most straightforward route to Sunday’s final in that they have avoided England and the Netherlands, both of whom are either in superb form and/or improving rapidly.
The bookmakers have priced up the Swiss as though they are making up the numbers, but that could be doing them a disservice because you could not help but be impressed with the way they clinched their place in the last four with a 5-2 home victory against Belgium.
European champions Portugal, meanwhile, have lost only once in the last 12 months, when they exited the World Cup against Uruguay. But they have also drawn nine of their latest 15 matches including the last four, and have found scoring goals something of a problem.
Cristiano Ronaldo will obviously be desperate to lead his country to more silverware, but even with home advantage here we believe Portugal are too short a price to beat Switzerland in 90 minutes and will back extra time to be required.
