Poland vs Slovenia Match Preview
Poland secured the top spot in Group G with games to spare and they host Slovenia for the final game of the EURO 2020 Qualifiers campaign with celebrations in place, just days after their trip to Israel. They have been rock-solid at the back and Jerzy Brzeczek will want to build on such a character, which promises another serious approach on the day.
Indeed, Orly kept clean sheets in seven of their last eight outings and the only goals conceded along the way came in Slovenia (2-0 loss), which interrupted a lengthy unbeaten streak. They will now want to take revenge and impress at Narodowy Stadium once again, looking for their fourth win in five outings here.
Slovenia have, on the other hand, struggled for consistency and the disappointing displays against North Macedonia (2-1) on the road and Austria (0-1) in front of the home fans all but saw them out of the contest for the top 2 spots. They host Latvia just days beforehand but could still see 2nd placed Austria out of reach.
Matjaz Kek’s men struggled to impress on the road and this will be even more worrying, with the inability to retain goalscoring consistency despite in-form leaders. We thus feel causing an upset in Warsaw will be a very tough task and we don’t see Slovenia up to it at this point.
We’ll thus back Poland to end a four-match winless streak in head-to-head clashes and to do so with confidence, as we go for a Home win to Nil at 6/4 with BetVictor and hope to see them turn a narrow occasion their way on Tuesday evening.
With that in mind, we hope not to see too many goals on the day and we’re also going for Under 2.5 Goals FT at 19/10 with bet365. We’ve seen such games in three of Poland’s four outings at this ground too, which sounds like further evidence for such a bet.
