Poland vs Latvia Match Preview
Poland host Latvia for their EURO 2020 Qualifiers clash on the back of a thrilling 0-1 win in Austria, where they snatched all three points with a single goal from Krzysztof Piatek as the rivals got to regret the missed chances in a very exciting contest at Ernst-Happel-Stadion.
Orly have thus only ended a six-match winless streak across competitions but we feel they’re enjoying a great moment and the visitors should not be the same sort of a challenge, as Jerzy Brzeczek wants his men to now make it six points in two outings early in the campaign.
Latvia have, on the other hand, seen a more comfortable 3-1 loss in Macedonia where a late goal proved nothing more than a consolation. They’ve struggled to turn clashes their way and come off as the group underdogs, which will have the home side very motivated to capitalize as well.
Wolves have thus snatched just one win in their last 15 outings (beating Estonia 1-0 in Riga) and this will hardly feel a confidence booster ahead of the trip to Stadion Narodowy. They struggled to score away goals on the regular too and this could be even more of a worry despite one scored in Macedonia.
We will thus back Poland to an exciting and rather one-sided win in front of the home fans, going for a Home win and Over 2.5 Goals FT at 8/15 with Paddy Power – which comes off as more of a banker bet at this point.
With hope Orly will take confidence from their trip to Austria, we’ll now also go for a convincing win in the Correct score market with a 3-0 prediction at 4/1 with bet365. We should now see an obvious difference in the depth of quality and we hope it will show on the scoresheet.
