Poland vs Israel Predictions
Poland are already in a strong position to qualify for the 2020 European Championships. Following a disappointing performance at last year’s World Cup that saw them crash out in the group stages with defeats in their opening two fixtures despite being handed a relatively kind draw, the White Eagles have responded well, brought in some fresh faces to the squad and started to look much stronger under new boss Jerzy Brzeczek.
Although the Nations League didn’t exactly go to plan as Brzeczek got to grips with the job and they were relegated from their group, Poland have made a dream start to Euro 2020 qualifying with three consecutive victories over Austria, Latvia and North Macedonia. Krzysztof Piatek’s goal was enough to earn them that third win on Friday night, can the Milan star fire them to another victory here at 1/3 with William Hill.
Israel have had some star players over the years but their record in qualifying for tournaments remains poor. The Blue and Whites have failed to qualify for the European Championships in six previous attempts since joining the UEFA section of FIFA in time for the 1996 Euros in England. Indeed, they’ve only qualified for the World Cup on one occasion too, being knocked out in the group stages back in 1970.
Like their Monday night opponents Poland, Israel have made a fine start to this Euro 2020 qualifying campaign. After opening with a 1-1 draw with Slovenia, they’ve picked up comfortable and impressive back-to-back victories against Latvia and Austria. Can they cause a shock in Warsaw on Monday night by picking up a huge three points in the fight for a top two finish at odds of 6/1 with PaddyPower.
Poland may have kept thre clean sheets in their Euro 2020 qualifiers so far but we can see that changing here as Israel have looked very strong going forward so far. The White and Blues have scored eight times in their three qualifiers, including three against Latvia in their Friday night fixture. We expect the superior quality of the hosts to carry them to the victory but we’re on the result and both teams to score bet at 12/5 with Ladbrokes.
Krzysztof Piatek has enjoyed a ridiculously impressive year. The 23 year old moved to Genoa last summer and scored 13 times in just 19 appearances before moving to AC Milan and bagging nine times in his 18 appearances. What’s more, he has racked up three goals in his first five caps for Poland including the winner in Friday’s victory over North Macedonia. He’s our anytime scorer pick in this one.
