Parma vs Roma Match Preview
Roma have seen two disappointing results early in 2020 and they travel to Parma for their Coppa Italia clash on Thursday looking to bounce from a two-match losing streak, where they saw Torino (0-2) and Juventus (1-2) snatch the points despite very narrow contests at Olimpico Stadium.
Giallorossi have thus seen a seven-match unbeaten streak across competitions ended and they have to bounce quickly if they’re to make their way to the Quarter-finals. However, they can be happy with their performances on the road and will hope to build on them, bagging three wins in four trips since late November and only holding Inter Milan to a goalless draw along the way.
Parma have, on the other hand, bounced to the winning ways as they beat Lecce (2-0) on Monday, where Simone Iacoponi and Andreas Cornelius found the net in the second half and secured a win after two disappointing displays in a row. They beat Roma (2-0) here in November and prove themselves a tough nut to crack at Ennio Tardini Stadium time and time again, which will have the crowd hopeful once again.
Indeed, Roberto D’Aversa’s men saw Brescia (1-1) snatch a point in late December and only kicked the new year off with a thrashing 5-0 loss at in-form Atalanta. They have been no strangers to great upsets this term, though, and will surely be in a good mood on Thursday evening.
We feel they will give Roma a run for their money and we’re going for a Double Chance – Parma to win or Draw at 3/4 with William Hill. We’ve seen them prove themselves a tough side to beat here and we’re now hoping for more of the same.
We do feel they’ll have to base such success on containing Roma’s attacking line on the day, who could be lacking without Nicolo Zaniolo opening up space. With that in mind, we’re also hoping for few goals and backing Under 2.5 Goals FT at Evens with bet365.
