Östersunds vs Häcken Match Preview

Östersunds stretched their unbeaten run to four fixtures as they managed a 1-1 draw away to Kalmar in their previous fixture. They currently sit in sixth place which was where the side finished last season in Allsvenskan. It is just seven games in but they have the second-best defensive record having conceded just six goals.

At the Jämtkraft Arena, they have won two and drawn one this season which is a good start having lost a few too many at home last campaign. They lost six at their own place in the 2018 season which was the worst of any top-half finisher. Dino Islomavic has three goals in 2019 though just one of these has come in front of his own fans.

Häcken made it back-to-back victories in their last match as they defeated GIF Sundsvall 1-0 last weekend. It has been a strong start for the Gothenburg outfit with four victories, two draws and just one defeat as they look to push on for the title after finishing fifth last season.

Away from the Bravida Arena, they have had a mixed start with one win, one draw and one defeat though the two they did not win saw them at Malmö and AIK who are probably the two strongest sides in the division. Paulinho has four goals for the season and the Brazilian has netted two of these on the road. A good road record is important for the visitors as no top eight side lost more last season on their travels than the eight Häcken lost.

Bookmakers make the road side strong favourites but it is not a bet that appeals at those prices especially considering their struggles away from home last season.
