Borussia Dortmund have gone four matches without a victory, but could not hope for more suitable Bundesliga opposition than Nurnberg in their quest to get back on the winning trail.

Dortmund have been knocked out of the DFB-Pokal, lost 3-0 away to Tottenham Hotspur and drawn their last two league matches, all since the start of this month.

It is a definite blip for Lucien Favre’s side, yet they remained five points clear at the top of the German league table going into the weekend as their closest pursuers Bayern Munich recently lost to Bayer Leverkusen.

One problem is that BVB have recently been hit by injuries and they are likely to be without two of their biggest attacking threats here in Marco Reus (groin) and Paco Alcacer (shoulder).

However, they should still be too strong for Nurnberg who sacked their manager Michael Kollner after a 2-0 defeat to Hannover made it 17 league and cup matches without a win.

Boris Schommers and Marek Mintal have taken temporary charge, but the team with the imaginative nickname of Der Club are facing relegation in their first season back in the top flight after a four-year absence.

Scoring goals is a problem for Nurnberg, who have lost 10 of their last 12 games, and we think a clean sheet will accompany a Dortmund triumph.
