Nottingham Forest vs Hull Match Preview
Forest will be looking to bounce back after suffering only their second defeat of the season (and their first since the opening day) last weekend going down 1-0 at Wigan. It was the sixth in their last seven matches to have gone under 2.5 goals and the fourth to finish 1-0.
At the City Ground, the Tricky Trees are unbeaten in their last four (winning three of these) but did lose here on the opening day of the season. The East Midlands outfit have conceded just one in their last four here, keeping three clean-sheets.
Hull lost 3-2 at home to QPR last time out to make it back-to-back league defeats in a scoreline that did not reflect how second-best they really were. City are a good side to watch for neutrals with five of their last six going over 2.5 goals.
Away from the KC Stadium, the Tigers have struggled a little picking up just one victory from five though two draws means they have lost on just two occasions. If you take out three they netted in one fixture against Luton they have netted just three from four on the road.
The hosts paid the price for trying to get too clever with squad roation at the weekend going down to Wigan but with key-men like Lewis Grabban and Joao Carvalho back in the line-up should have enough to get all three points against a Hull side struggling on the road (including a recent 3-0 loss at Huddersfield).
If Forest do win (like we think they will) then going low on goals also makes sense as four of their last six have ended 1-0. The Tricky Trees to win by one goal or a couple of correct score options make sense but the best approach is backing a home win and under 4.5 goals. The Tigers are not exactly prolific on the road so this looks a nice way to enhance the odds on a home win.
