Norwich vs Tottenham Match Preview
Tottenham travel to Norwich for their Matchday 20 clash on Saturday, just days after hosting Brighton for their Boxing Day clash in desperate need for points – having failed to challenge the top 4 as Chelsea (0-2) snatched all three points at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with a brace from Willian last week.
Spurs have thus seen their struggles for consistency continue and while Jose Mourinho’s impact was definitely felt back in late November, his men failed to connect any two same results in the last five outings. They have been scoring goals on the regular but haven’t been able to always capitalize, seeing two losses on the road ahead of their win at Wolves (1-2) midway through December.
Norwich will hope give the rivals a run for the money and make the best out of their woes but it’s fair to say they’ve been in trouble themselves. They’ve seen a tough schedule and struggled to cope, earning just two points in five games as they head into a busy week late in the year.
Canaries held off Arsenal (2-2) and Leicester (1-1) along the way but saw Southampton (2-1), Sheffield (1-2), and Wolves (1-2) snatch the points along the way, with a worrying defensive tally. Indeed, Daniel Farke’s men felt far from confident at the back and he will have to find a quick fix if they’re to do better this week.
We don’t see them shutting down the Spurs, though, and we’ll now rather stick with the visitors to turn an exciting contest their way. We’ll go for an Away win and a Yes on Both teams to score, which comes at 15/8 with BetVictor and feels like more than just a lively longshot.
With both sides scoring and conceding on the regular, it’s easy to make a case for a high-scoring occasion at Carrow Road now as well. We’ve seen three or more goals in four of both sides’ respective last five outings and we’re now backing Over 2.5 Goals FT at 8/15 with William Hill.
