Norwich City vs Leicester City Match Preview
Leicester’s form has undoubtedly fallen away since they were involved in that agonising Carabao Cup semi-final against Aston Villa – and they could be worth opposing at Norwich.
The Foxes have won only two of their last nine games, which include both legs of that cup tie, and they appear to have suffered from conceding a stoppage-time winner that cost them a place at Wembley – although, in fairness, they have had a difficult run of fixtures since then.
But while Brendan Rodgers’ side are still looking good for Champions League football next season, there is not the same certainty as there was a few weeks ago and after drawing a goalscoring blank in their last two games they will want to get back on track at Norwich.
The Canaries, meanwhile, have only this last chance to avoid going the whole of February without scoring a goal themselves. There appears little doubt now that they will be relegated this term and the encouraging spell they had after Christmas has evaporated.
However, all season Norwich have been more effective at home than away and their Carrow Road results since the end of December remain respectable, last time out only being breached by Liverpool in the 78th minute as they held their own in windy conditions.
This is certainly not a guaranteed three points for Leicester on their current form and until they show they are back to how they were performing in the autumn, taking them on in awkward tests such as this could prove rewarding.
