Norway vs Romania Match Preview
Romania travel to Norway for their Matchday 3 Group F clash looking to challenge the group’s top 2 with points at Ullevaal Stadion, coming into the match on the back of a 4-1 win over Faroe Islands where Ciprian Deac, Claudiu Keseru, and George Puscas found the net to secure a return to the winning ways.
Trocolorii have seen a narrow yet disappointing 2-1 loss in Sweden beforehand, where a second-half goal from Keseru pulled one back after Cosmin Contra’s men conceded two goals in the first half – which still proved nothing more than a consolation at Friends Arena.
Norway have, on the other hand, struggled early on as they suffered a narrow 2-1 loss in Spain and held Sweden to a thriller 3-3 draw in front of the home fans, where we saw Sweden complete a comeback with a 91’ goal from Robin Quaison but Kamara made sure of a point with a last-gasp equalizer.
Lions have thus struggled for defensive consistency just as much but managed to show off up front and we expect them to do the same on the day. Still, outgunning Romania should prove a very tough task and we don’t see them making it happen at this point.
We will thus stick our necks out for Romania to come away with at least a point with an enticing Double Chance – Draw or Away win at 4/5 with William Hill, as we hope to see them building on rock-solid performances over the past year or so.
We do feel we’re in for goals between the sides once again and seeing both sides regularly enjoy such clashes also has us backing a Yes on Both teams to score, which comes at 11/10 with Paddy Power and looks great value for those keeping faith Romania can snatch anything from the fixture.
