Nimes vs Monaco Match Preview

Monaco travel to Nimes in a troubled spell of form and with just three points earned in their last six outings, which sees them in the danger zone once again very late in the campaign. They travel to Nimes for their Matchday 36 clash just three points clear of 18th placed Caen and in desperate need for a pick-me-up.

Les Monegasques have seen St Etienne (2-3) snatch all three points at Stade Louis II on Sunday as their woes at the back continued, where Leonardo Jardim’s men conceded eight in the last three outings. They will now want more but could find Stade des Costieres a tough spot to make it happen too.

Nimes have enjoyed a better campaign and primarily so for their performances in front of the home fans, where they bagged 17 points in their last seven outings – beating Caen (2-0), Rennes (3-1), and Bordeaux (2-1) in a row since early April and regularly scoring numbers of goals.

Les Crocodiles now come into the match on the back of a convincing 0-3 win at Reims too, which should have them just as motivated to capitalize on the rivals’ woes despite no high stakes involved on their end – surely enjoying less pressure late in the campaign.
