Nice vs Nantes Match Preview
Nantes travel to Nice for their Matchday 36 clash in great form after building on their mid-table spot with five consecutive wins since mid-April despite a very tough schedule, now hoping cause an upset at Allianz Riviera and keep it up late in the campaign.
Canaries have beaten Lyon (2-1), PSG (3-2), Amiens (3-2), Marseille (1-2), and Dijon (3-0), looking much more confident in front of the home crowd but still managing to impress away along the way. They’ll now want more of the same and we feel Vahid Halilhodzic’s men are in a great place to do so.
Nice have held PSG to a 1-1 draw last week and managed to connect a two-match unbeaten streak too, after beating Guingamp (3-0) in a convincing setup at this ground. They’ve been very tough to beat here and Patrick Vieira surely still has hopes of a Europa League Qualifiers spot.
Les Aiglons have suffered just two losses here in 14 outings since late October and they obviously have a lot to build on as well, having proven themselves very tough to score against on many occasions.
We now expect another such contest but we feel Nantes have what it takes to snatch a point, as we stick our necks out for a Draw at 11/5 with William Hill. They’ve been in great shape lately and Nice could have a hard time shutting them down despite basing recent success on performances at Stade de la Beaujoire mainly.
We do expect a very narrow clash with few goals as Nice enjoy a defensive approach here, which also has us going for a low-scoring contest with Under 2.5 Goals FT at 4/6 with bet365. We’ve seen two or fewer goals in nine of Nice’s last ten outings and this serves as further evidence for such a bet.
