Nice have bagged two exciting wins to bag six points early in the new campaign, hosting Marseille midway through the week in hope they can build on the performances and possibly even snatch the top spot in Ligue 1 after three games played – where Rennes now sit with nine points to their name.

Les Aiglons have seen two very narrow occasions as Dante netted the last-gasp winner against Amiens (2-1) and early goals from Wylan Cyprien and Ignatius Ganago proved enough for all three points at Nimes (1-2), putting behind them a very unpredictable spell of form through the pre-season campaign.

Marseille have been tougher to beat late in their pre-season but it will hardly mean anything as they have just a point to their name after two league outings – where Reims (0-2) snatched all three points at Orange Velodrome and Nantes shut them down in a goalless draw on the road.

Les Phoceens are thus still looking for the first goal this term as Dario Benedetto missed a penalty at Stade de la Beaujoire, which has Steve Mandanda the star of the show as he saved an important point. Andre Villas-Boas will be desperate for a cure in the final third, though, with an obvious need for a pick-me-up in Nice.

However, we don’t feel they’re able to snatch all three points here and we’ll now stick our necks out for the sides to share the spoils – as we go for a Draw at 9/4 with Paddy Power. Marseille have a great winning streak over Nice but we feel it ends on Wednesday evening.

We thus expect a narrow occasion and hope for a tough deadlock to break too, which has us going for Under 2.5 Goals FT at 3/4 with Unibet – which feels like a generous banker bet and would make it for the third such head-to-head occasion in a row.
