Nice vs Lyon Match Preview
Lyon have been in great shape and they travel to Nice for their Coupe de France clash on Thursday with a six-match winning streak, after outclassing Toulouse (3-0) over the weekend as Gnaly Cornet, Moussa Dembele, and Karl Toko Ekambi all made it on the scoresheet.
Les Gones have been without Memphis Depay since mid-December but the fans hardly felt it, as their men beat Bourg-en-Bresse (0-7), Brest (3-1), Bordeaux (1-2), Nantes (3-4), and Lille (on penalties after a 2-2 draw) – with a total of 18 goals scored on those five occasions. Moussa Dembele has been leading the in-form line and scored seven of those, which does promise an enthusiastic outfit once again.
Nice have, on the other hand, seen Rennes (1-1) snatch a point with a late equalizer on Friday evening but still extended a seven-match unbeaten streak of their own. They’ve shown off as a tough side to beat but have yet to prove they can cope with the big guns, with a great chance on Thursday.
Les Aiglons saw Marseille (1-2) and PSG (1-4) snatch the points at Allianz Riviera this term while earning eight wins and three draws in 13 outings across competitions. They’ve been scoring on the regular and will surely be very motivated to do so again in a battle for a spot in the Quarter-finals.
We do feel they’ll be tough to outgun and with that in mind, we’re sticking our necks out for a Draw – which would see the contest go into extra-time and comes at 13/5 with bet365. We’ve seen many such occasions in 8th Finals already and we’re hoping for more of the same.
We should be in for thrills and with that in mind, we’re going for goals as well. We’ll back a Yes on Both teams to score at 8/11 with VirginBet, which has been rated value by many in the know as both sides enjoy great goalscoring spells lately.
