New York Red Bulls vs Real Salt Lake Match Preview
Real Salt Lake travel to New Jersey for their weekend clash at New York Red Bulls just days after the mid-week trip to Montreal, as they look to build on a three-match winning streak after beating Colorado (2-3), Toronto (3-0), and Atlanta United (2-1) since mid-May.
Claret and Cobalt have been scoring numbers of goals along the way and saw Jefferson Savarino leading the attacking line with goals in both of his last two appearances, which will surely have them motivated to cause an upset at Red Bull Arena as well.
New York Red Bulls will have plans of their own, though, and they now look to build on their four-match unbeaten streak which sees them just four points behind Eastern Conference pace-setters DC United with a game in hand. They’ve impressed up front just as much and this promises a thriller in the making.
Red Bulls have beaten Dallas (1-3), Atlanta (1-0), Cincinnati (0-2) and were only held off by Vancouver Whitecaps (2-2) along the way, netting a total of eight goals in the process. Chris Armas will now want to build on such a tally and we do hope to see them do just that.
We don’t feel they’ll have what it takes to secure all three points, though, and we’ll now stick our necks out for in-form visitors to snatch a point as we go for a Draw at an eye-catching 3/1 with bet365.
We should be in for goals and we’ll thus also go for a Yes on Both teams to score at 4/6 with William Hill, which feels like more of a banker bet as both sides regularly score and concede goals lately.
