Zurich were always going to find it tough in the knockout phase because they came through one of the weaker Europa League groups along with Bayer Leverkusen, the duo eliminating Ludogorets Razgrad and AEK Larnaca.
The Swiss side’s only win in their last seven games was in the Zurich derby against Grasshoppers and another decisive defeat looks likely on their trip to the Stadio San Paolo.
