Nantes vs Strasbourg Match Preview
Nantes have been in fine form since early April and secured a mid-table spot with 17 of their 48 points earned along the way, now hosting Strasbourg on the Final day of the campaign with no high stakes involved but surely hoping to build on such performances and end the campaign on a high.
Canaries have thus proven themselves a very tough side to beat, especially at this ground as they beat Lyon (2-1), PSG (3-2), Amiens (3-2), and Dijon (3-0) along the way. Vahid Halilhodzic’s men have been scoring numbers of goals here and this promises a great contest once again.
Strasbourg have done just the same as they held off PSG (2-2), Guingamp (3-3), Amiens (0-0), and Marseille (1-1) since early April but they’ve also failed to earn a win along the way – these being their only points along the way as they sit just two behind the 11th placed rivals.
Le Racing have thus also seen three losses along the way, including a 2-1 beating at Dijon and a 0-2 home loss to Rennes over the past two weeks. They will want to bounce back too but we don’t see them making it happen at Stade de la Beaujoire – Louis Fonteneau.
We’ll thus back Nantes to secure all there points and build on their great streak lately with a win on the final day of the campaign, which feels like a generous banker bet at 3/4 with bet365 after their rock-solid displays of recent.
We have seen them scoring and conceding goals regularly, though, and this promises thrills on the day as well. With that in mind, we’re now also going for another high-scoring Ligue 1 clash with Over 2.5 Goals FT at 4/5 with William Hill.
