Motherwell vs Hearts Match Preview
Motherwell have connected a four-match winning streak since their mid-January FA Cup exit in the hands of Ross County (1-2) and they host Hearts in a great mood, hoping to build on it on Sunday and keep up with the Premiership top 6 – as they now sit just four points behind St Johnstone.
Well have beaten Hibernian (1-0), Dundee (0-1), Livingston (3-0), and St. Mirren (1-2) along the way, led by David Turnbull and Jake Hastie. Stephen Robinson’s men saw their share of narrow contests but finally started turning them their way, which should have them very motivated late in the first phase.
Hearts promise a rock-solid challenge in the search of their fourth win over the rivals this term, though, coming into the match on the back of a month-long unbeaten streak of their own. They’ve beaten Auchinleck Talbot (4-0) in FA Cup to earn their third win in four outings and we now expect the visitors just as motivated to make the trip to Fir Park count.
Jam have beaten St. Johnstone (2-0), Kilmarnock (1-2), and held Livingston to a goalless draw in three outings beforehand and we’ve finally seen them rediscover their goalscoring form on the road. We now expect an exciting challenge from them and Motherwell should have a hard time closing the gap to the top 6 here.
We will stick with Hearts to snatch an important point in their mid-table battle here as we back a Draw at 9/4 with Betfair, seeing both sides pick it up in the final third and surely very motivated on the day as well.
Still, we feel they’ll have to score goals to do so again and with that in mind, we’re also going for a Yes on Both teams to score at Evens with Coral! We’ve seen both finding the net on the regular lately and this feels like evidence for such a bet, despite high stakes and a narrow clash looming.
