Montreal Impact vs Orlando City Match Preview
Montreal host Orlando City for their Saturday’s clash just days after doing the same for Real Salt Lake in search of consistency in front of the home fans amid a very busy schedule, sitting 4th on Western Conference table but still bagging just one win in their last five outings.
Impact have been tougher to score against in front of the home fans but still saw just one point in their last two outings here, where New York City snatched all three in a 0-2 win and New England snatched one in a goalless draw. Remi Garde will now be desperate to build on the tally and we feel he should have no hard time lifting his men’s spirits.
Orlando have seen similar woes as they struggle to score goals and the 5-1 win over Cincinnati hardly feels indicative, as they suffered losses to Toronto (0-2), Atlanta (1-0), Seattle Sounders (2-1), and LA Galaxy since early May and found the net just once along the way.
Lions will now look for more at Stade Saputo but getting it should prove hard, as the rivals boast great defensive stability here with just two goals conceded this term. We thus expect a narrow contest but Orlando hardly have a chance to snatch the points we feel.
We’ll thus go for a Home win at 3/4 with bet365 and back Montreal to important points as they look for pick-me-ups, desperate to build on their spot with pace-setters DC United still within points.
We do see them basing such a success on another rock-solid defensive performance before anything else and we’ll thus also go for Montreal to keep a clean sheet, which has caught the eye of many in the know at 7/4 with Paddy Power.
