Montreal Impact vs Columbus Crew Match Preview
Montreal Impact host Columbus Crew for their Saturday’s clash and their first home outing looking to build on rock-solid defensive displays at New York City (0-0) and DC United (0-0) and two points earned along the way, despite a tough challenge looming.
Impact now have eight points to their name after six outings and Remi Garde will surely want to build on the tally here, finally seeing consistency at the back and clean sheets in both of the last two outings. We’ve seen them very tough to beat at this ground through most part of the last campaign and they now have a lot to prove.
Columbus have been in better shape lately and we’ve seen them bag four wins in their last five outings, as they sit at the top of the Eastern Conference table. They’ve been tough to score against at home ground but struggles on the road will be more worrying ahead of the trip to Stade Saputo.
Crew have thus beaten Dallas (1-0), Atlanta United (2-0), and New England (1-0) at MAPFRE Stadium but the thrashing 3-0 loss at Philadelphia Union along the way will be far more worrying for Caleb Porter and his men.
We will now stick our necks out for Montreal Impact to impress in their first outing in front of the home crowd, as we go for a Home win at 13/10 with bet365. We’ve seen them rock-solid at the back over the past couple of weeks and hope to see them in great shape once again.
Impact should be forced into a narrow contest, though, and we hope to see them base such a success on a tough defensive display. We’ll thus also stick our necks out for the home side to keep a clean sheet at 23/10 with Paddy Power, which would be their third such outing in a row.
