Monaco host Rennes for their Matchday 10 clash as they return to Ligue 1 also hoping to return to the winning ways after seeing a winning streak of two ended by Montpellier (3-1) in quite a comfortable loss at Stade de la Mosson just ahead of the International break. They will need more if they’re to climb the table and a 68’ goal from Wissam Ben Yedder is hardly a consolation.

Les Monegasques have been scoring more goals at home ground and we’ve seen them beat Nice (3-1) and Brest (4-1) in two high-scoring clashes at this ground beforehand. They’ll now be without suspended Golovin, Ballo, Gelson Martins as well as injured Pellegri and Jovetic up front, but turn to in-form Ben Yedder and Islam Slimani for goals.

Rennes will still have to search for an upset as they look to capitalize on the rivals’ woes, failing to impress across competitions lately and now coming desperate to end an eight-match winless streak. They could drop down the table and theoretically as far as the 18th spot with a loss here, which could mean the mounting pressure get to them.
