Monaco vs Nantes Match Preview

Monaco have finally ended their four-match losing streak and earned four points in two Ligue 1 outings, as they host bottom-of-the-table rivals Nantes in search of all-important points with hopes they can build towards a mid-table spot – which still feels a long way to go for Leonardo Jardim’s men.

Les Monegasques have started scoring more goals and we’ve thus seen them beat Toulouse (2-1) and held Montpellier to a thriller 2-2 draw despite conceding a last-gasp equalizer. They will now need to keep it up and doing so against the Canaries will be an essential task.

Nantes come into the match amid a busy schedule where they look to bounce back from a 2-4 loss to Nimes on trips to Caen and Monaco, as they failed to build on a two-match winning streak seen beforehand. They’ve struggled to score goals away from home lately and this could be more worrying for Vahid Halilhodzic.

Canaries have thus proven themselves a tough nut to crack but still suffered 1-0 losses at PSG, Nimes, and Angers in December and January. They will now want a similar challenge but the clash hardly comes at the best time possible as Monaco finally seem like a unit more recently.

We will thus back Monaco to keep their streak going and bag all three points at Stade Louis II, as we go for a Home win at 4/5 with BetVictor. We’ve seen Nantes struggling for points on the road and we do see these woes extending this weekend as well.
