Moldova vs Albania Match Preview
Albania travel to Moldova after all but losing their chances for a top 2 spot with a Friday’s loss in Turkey (1-0), where Cenk Tosun netted the last-minute winner and kept Turkey at the top of the Group H after seven games played – despite a very tough challenge from the visitors.
Red and Blacks have thus seen their unpredictable streak continue as they sit nine points behind the top 2 in Group H with three games to play. They will still hope for a solid finish as they meet Moldova and Andorra before hosting favourites France on the final day of the campaign, having already proven themselves a tough nut to crack on many occasions.
Moldova have, on the other hand, seen another disappointing display in the final third on Friday and suffered a narrow 1-0 loss in Andorra, who untangled the contest with a single goal from Marc Vales just past the hour mark. This was the fourth time in a row they’ve failed to find the net and this comes as no surprise really.
However, we have seen Semen Altman’s men showing more up front when playing at home ground and we’ve seen them score on four consecutive occasions before a thrashing 0-4 loss to Turkey. They have little to play for and this will mean no great pressure at Stadionul Zimbru, which could also mean more serious moves forward.
We thus hope for an exciting occasion but we do see Albania turning it their way and returning to the winning ways once again, backing the visitors to snatch all three points at Evens with William Hill – which still seems like the best approach to the fixture.
We expect goals, though, and Red and Blacks should be forced to outgun the rivals to secure such success. We’re thus also sticking our necks out for Over 2.5 Goals FT at 6/4 with bet365, which seems like great value for those hoping to see a winner on the day.
