MK Dons vs Mansfield Match Preview
Mansfield have seen thriller losses to Oldham Athletic (3-2) and Stevenage (1-2) in their last two outings and now travel to Milton Keynes with their top 2 spot in danger, as the rivals look to jump them to the direct promotion on the final day of the campaign.
Stags struggled to keep it together at the back and this has proven costly as they conceded a last-minute winner last week, which will feel even more worrying for David Flitcroft and his men. They will now want more but getting it at Stadium MK will be a tough task.
MK Dons have struggled for consistency just as much and failed to capitalize on the rivals’ woes so far, seeing a 2-0 loss at Colchester on Saturday. They’ve been tougher to beat in front of the home crowd and now want to show off such a character with everything to play for.
Dons have been held to a 1-1 draw by Port Vale last time out here, though, and putting such performances behind them will be a crucial task. They have a lot to prove in search of their best goalscoring form as Kieran Agard failed to find the net in any of the last three outings, which promises a narrow contest on the day as well.
However, we do feel they should have what it takes to beat the visitors and we’ll now stick our necks out for them to battle out a direct promotion here, as we go for a Home win at 6/5 with bet365.
The visitors have just as much to play for and with high stakes involved, there could be a time they’ll have to go all out for the goal. With that in mind, we now also back a high-scoring contest with Over 2.5 Goals FT at 11/10 with Paddy Power.
