Minnesota United vs Seattle Sounders Match Preview
Minnesota United have been in an unpredictable spell of form through most part of the campaign but still prove themselves a very tough nut to crack in front of the home fans time and time again, hosting Seattle Sounders for their Sunday clash in hope they can do the same.
Loons are yet to suffer a loss at Allianz Field and now come into the match on the back of a narrow 1-0 win over DC United, where a late goal from Angelo Rodriguez proved enough for all three points – when it already seemed they’re in for a third draw here in a row after holding off New York City (3-3) and LA Galaxy (0-0).
Seattle Sounders have, on the other hand, struggled to keep up the great results seen until mid-April, where Los Angeles outclassed them in a 4-1 loss at Banc of California Stadium and Brian Schmetzer’s men struggled to bounce back with SJ Earthquakes (2-2) and LAFC (1-1) snatching a point each at CenturyLink Field.
Sounders have been scoring goals on the regular but still found it hard to turn clashes their way, with defensive errors proving costly once too often lately. They’ve conceded nine goals in the last four outings and this will feel very worrying for the visitors ahead of the trip to Saint Paul.
We will thus back Minnesota United to hold off the rivals and we’ll stick our necks out for a Draw at 13/5 with William Hill, which has caught a lot of attention as more than just a lively longshot.
Indeed, we expect goals and another exciting contest on the day, as we also back a Yes on Both teams to score at 4/7 with William Hill which feels like a banker bet with both sides enjoying such clashes on the regular.
