A 1-0 victory in midweek at Derby was vital for the Lions who had failed to win any of their five in the league prior to that. It put some distance between themselves and the bottom three as they sit 19th and the gap is up to five.

At the Den, the Lions are without a victory in the last three with the last two ending in goalless draws. A lack of goals here is a key feature with just two produced from their last five.

Preston drew 0-0 with Nottingham Forest in their last fixture to extend their unbeaten run to seven league games. They sit in 11th but with nine points between them and the side in sixth and North-End having played two games more it looks a tough ask to get in the top six.

Millwall are slight favourites for this game with bookmakers still thinking that despite their defeat of Derby in midweek Preston are the stronger outfit. I think the prices on offer look about fair and would look elsewhere for the value.

Three goals in three road matches suggests Alan Browne is a man suited to playing on the road and I like him to score here.
