AC Milan vs Cagliari Match Preview
AC Milan host Cagliari for their Matchday 23 clash on the back of a 1-1 draw seen at Roma last week and a four-match unbeaten streak, which sees them sitting in the Serie A top 4 after 22 games played and through to the Coppa Italia semi-finals over Napoli (2-0).
Rossoneri have been very tough to beat in front of the home fans and this should have them just as confident in search of all-important points on the day, where they look to prove their fine form of recent and capitalize now – as they host rivals largely struggling to escape the immediate danger zone.
Cagliari have earned just one point in their last five outings, seeing a Coppa Italia exit in the hands of Atalanta (0-2) and suffering league losses to Udinese (2-0), Sassuolo (3-0), and La Dea (0-1) along the way. They’ve proven themselves as a tougher side at home but just a thriller 2-2 draw against Empoli will hardly be a great boost to their confidence either.
Rossoblu have been conceding many goals away from home and Rolando Maran hasn’t been able to find a cure for such woes, where his men also failed to find the net at Udinese and Sassuolo since late December. This feels even more worrying ahead of the tough trip looming!
We will thus back Milan to secure all three points and we’ll now go for another narrow occasion at Giuseppe Meazza, as we go for a Home win to Nil at 13/10 with BetVictor – which feels like great value seeing Gennaro Gattuso basing success on such an approach lately.
However, we don’t see them bagging many goals either and we don’t feel we will on the day – which has us going for Under 2.5 Goals FT at 19/20 with Unibet as well. We’ve seen two or fewer goals in nine of Milan’s last ten outings across competitions and this feels like further evidence for such a bet.
