Middlesbrough went into the international break in fifth spot and having lost each of their last three and are winless in four. This run means they find themselves just one point above Preston in seventh and fighting to stay in the play-off mix.

At the Riverside, the Teesiders have lost their last two and their only two wins in nine have come against QPR and Ipswich. Ashley Fletcher is doing well at this ground having netted in each of his last three here.

Norwich sat four points clear at the top of the table ahead of the last eight fixtures and in pole-position for promotion. They have won each of their last five and lost just one of their previous 13.

Away from Carrow Road, the Canaries have won four of their last five with the other a 3-1 loss at Preston. Teemu Pukki has done well on the road of late with five goals from his last six appearances.

The visitors are the slight favourites for this game and recent defeats to Brentford and Preston have shown that Boro are vulnerable at their own place. I could not put anyone off backing them but games between these sides have been tight lately and separated by just a single goal so I will leave alone at the prices.

Both sides are playing later so will know what they need from this game and results elsewhere might make the home side out of the top six. I can see them having to chase goals and the East Anglian outfit are adapt on the counter-attack so I think we could see goals in the second-half.
