Middlesbrough vs Huddersfield Match Preview
Middlesbrough were back to winning ways on Friday evening as a goal each from Ashley Fletcher and Lewis Wing saw them see off Stoke 2-1. The result continues a mixed bag of form that has seen two wins, one draw and two defeats in the last five.
At the Riverside Stadium, Boro last played on the 7th December and they beat Charlton 1-0 that day although they should have won by more. It is two successive victories and four without defeat at their own ground for the Teesiders.
Huddersfield continued their recent good form with a well-deserved 2-1 home victory over Nottingham Forest at the weekend. The Yorkshire outfit have taken seven points from their last three fixtures having failed to win any of the five prior to that.
Away from the John Smith’s Stadium, the Terriers were last in action on December 14th when they travelled to Wigan drawing 1-1. It is a mixed bag for Danny Cowley and his side on the road with two wins, one draw and two defeats in five.
It is hard to argue with the prices on offer here which pay respect to the home team but also suggest little to choose between the two sides. A draw looks the best way to approach this game then given both sides will be happy to keep their recent good form. In addition, both are finding the back of net of late so the game to finish all-square and both teams netting also appeals.
