Mexico vs Ecuador Match Preview
Mexico travel to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas for their friendly clash against Ecuador on the back of three-match winning streak, hoping to build on it and keep up their great team spirits ahead of the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
El Tri have beaten Chile (3-1), Paraguay (4-2), and Venezuela (3-1) since late March and they’ll now be very motivated to build on the performances, as they boast great goalscoring records with goals coming from all directions lately. We’ve seen Jimenez, Moreno, Lozano, dos Santos, Chicharito, Montes, Alvarado, Pizarro, and Guardado all find the net, which only has Gerardo Martino with a tough choice.
Ecuador have, on the other hand, struggled for such performances in the final third and this has proven costly as they failed to return to the winning ways in 2019. They’ve seen a 1-0 loss to the United States in March and went on only to hold off Honduras (0-0) and Venezuela (1-1) in two outings since.
La Tricolor have beaten Mexico in their last head-to-head clash back in June 2015 but it feels building on the performances should prove a very tough task, which could be indicative of their mood ahead of Copa America trip to Brazil later this month.
We will now back Mexico to build on their great team spirits and we’ll thus go for them to beat Ecuador, which comes at 83/100 with bet365 and looks like great value at this point – despite somewhat unpredictable records against Ecuador.
However, we feel we’re in for a more exciting contest than Ecuador have seen lately and we do see them getting on the scoresheet too, as we now go for goals with Over 2.5 Goals FT at 19/20 with bet365 – which has caught the eye of many as well.
